COVID-19 Program Response and Moving into the Future

Due to the pandemic, ILI Year 3 was a completely virtual experience. Participants participated via video call, phone, independent and group study, and by snail mail. We found that we were able to engage fellows flexibly while still being committed to the fellowship process. One of the most profound examples is that we were able to engage parents while not interrupting their ability to parent. We aim to maintain this flexible approach to the ILI Fellowship in the future.

For ILI Year 4, we moved to approach the fellowship as a hybrid (both in-person and virtual) program and we will continue this practice for the years to come. Fellows will have the option of attending in person or virtual cultural intensive. Tech and (paid) travel accommodations will be administered by ILI staff upon cohort selection.

Language Justice

Should there be a need for ILI material translation or interpretation ILI staff will connect the applicant with the appropriate ILI partner to coordinate their needs. Should you need language assistance, please reach out to info@weareili.org for assistance
